Biography

1905 - Born Germany

1924 - Earned his MA at the University of St Petersburg

1928 - Earned his Ph.D in Economics at the University of Berlin

1931 - employed by the Bureau of National Statistics in the US

1946 - became Professor of Economics at Harvard

1948 - set up the Harvard Economic Research Project

1965 - chaired the Harvard Society of Fellows

1975 - Joined New York University
